York City Fan Survey 2006
York City Fan Survey 2006

The York City Fan Survey will be launched at Sundays match against Kidderminster Harriers.

Steve Beck, Citys Youth Development and Fans Liaison Director and also Trust Chairman, commented The York City Fan Survey is another important opportunity for the supporters to have a dialogue with their Club.  Like last year, we hope that many people will complete the survey, the results of which will be published and will also be used by the Trust and the Club to help shape the future.

This is the second year running that the Trust and Club have undertaken the Fan Survey, to add to the range of ways in which the supporters have an input to York City.  Last year, over 450 City fans responded, and the results provided some useful information about the profile of the Clubs supporters, their attendance at matches and, most importantly, what they think about the services and facilities offered by the Club and how things can be improved

The results of last years Fan Survey contributed towards initiatives aimed at making football more affordable for people with young families and to try and attract a younger audience to follow York City like the 29 season ticket for under-12s, improvements to the match-day experience such as toilet facilities and refreshments, and the launch of the Clubs official website.  The information about supporters is also used to help the Clubs commercial operations.

Citys Trust has organised for 2,000 copies of the Fan Survey to be available to supporters, starting on Saturday.  The questionnaire will also be available from the Trusts website and the Clubs website   The questionnaire will only take 10/15 minutes for people to complete.  Whilst the Premiership clubs undertake an annual fan survey, below the top flight it is unusual for clubs to do fan surveys.

The questionnaire has again been designed with assistance from Trust Member David Brewis, who has experience of conducting fan surveys at other clubs and has volunteered to help York City provide a further way of engaging with the supporters.
