Appeal to fans

After the Forest Green Rovers game, about 10 supporters stayed behind to help to clear the rubbish from the terraces (allowing Jez to concentrate on "that" pitch).  Nick Bassett, the Club Secretary, has asked whether a few more could help after this weekends Gravesend game. If 20 volunteers come forward this week, the job will take half the time. If you can help, meet Jez at the end of the game at the groundsman's hut near the exit from the Longhurst Stand.

Also, in response to suggestions from fans, Nick has bought as many bins as the club's very tight finances will allow. However, it would be useful to get a few more plastic dustbins, which could be used around the ground. If you would like to purchase and donate a bin, it would be greatly appreciated.

As daft as it sounds, donations of rubbish sacks would also be useful to the Club!  They use a huge amount of these items and if every supporter brought one sack, they wouldn't have to buy any more for the forseeable future.

If you need to know more information or would like to offer your help, please contact Nick on 0870 777 1922 or e-mail
