TEAMSELECTA UPDATE - End of year standings

The winners & losers are announced!

Thankyou to Mike Grant for his regular updates throughout the season and also to Christine & Dave Marshall for their fantastic help in keeping the tables etc updated!

Weve come to the end of the season and its time to see who has been successful in this years Teamselecta competition.

Using the time honoured Miss World format, in reverse order:

In third place, with 857 points, and winning a prize of 75, is

M. Race.

Three points ahead, with 860, and winning a prize of  150, is

Neil Cushing.

But who has come first this season and won the huge first prize of  450?

Just scraping home by two points and having amassed a total of 862, step forward and take a bow Paul Brencher.

Congratulations to all of you, please email Kirsten to arrange the presentation of your prizes (kirsten@ycst.org.uk)!

However, we cant leave things like that because as well as celebrating with la crme de la crme, we also have to name and shame the dross de la dross.

Someone has to become the shameful recipient of a Scarborough mug, and I have to confess it will not be an original.

The original suffered several mishaps on Boxing Day following my return from the land of the oven chip and was fatally injured, so a replacement is being arranged.

So who exactly was in serious danger of becoming officially York Citys most least knowledgeable football supporter?

In 283rd. place with 655 points was J. Ammitage.

In 284th. place with 646 points was M. D. Arundel.

But if you are going to come bottom of the heap in 285th. position, theres no point in messing about with close finishes, youre best to do it in style and have a substantial cushion of 14 points between you and the person above, then there can be no possible doubt as to who is the absolute worst competitor.

Isnt that right S.Watson2?

Last place with 632 points, the mug is yours!

Mike Grant
