24 hour challenge completed

Supporting City

York City supporters' clubs the Harrogate Minstermen and Malton Minstermen have successfully completed their '24 Hour Challenge' after visiting ALL 22 Nationwide Conference clubs inside the allotted timescale.


Both sets of supporters journeyed throughout the night after originally departing KitKat Crescent at noon on Saturday.

The Malton Minstermen were the first to return, taking advantage of their significantly more powerful vehicle to record a finishing time of 9.00 am (Sun).

Despite finding themselves locked in heavy traffic as they approached Scarborough, the Harrogate crew duly followed at 11.29 am.

However both parties always viewed the event as a joint-attempt to raise further important funds on behalf of York City FC.

We would like to thank everybody who has sponsored this event. We aim to raise around 2000 for York City. If anybody would like to make a pledge in retrospect, this can still be done by contacting:

Andy Bishop Signed Shirt Raffle


The raffle for the signed England shirt worn by Andy Bishop during the National Game XI fixture against the Netherlands has now been completed.


We would like to thank Andy on behalf of Harrogate Minstermen and Malton Minstermen for his generosity in donating his shirt to raise funds for York City Football Club. Thank you to all who purchased tickets. This has raised in the vicinity of 200 and will be forwarded to the club as part of the 24 hour challenge sponsorship money.


The winning ticket numbers are blue 181-185.
