York City Fan Survey launched
York City Fan Survey launched

Your York City

The York City Fan Survey will be launched at the final two home matches of the season.

Steve Beck, Citys Youth Development and Fans Liaison Director and also a Trust Board Member, commented The York City Fan Survey is another important opportunity for the supporters to have a dialogue with their Club.  We hope that many people will complete the survey, the results of which will be published in due course and will be used by the Trust and the Club.

Citys Trust has organised for 2,000 copies of the Fan Survey to be available to supporters at Citys final two home matches of the season.  The questionnaire will also be available from the Trusts website  - click on the link below

The survey provides information about who attends York City matches, their match day experience, and their views on the various services and facilities offered by the Club.  Questions are also asked about the running of the Club and Citys community programme.  In due course, the survey data will be analysed and the key findings will be published.  The information can also be used by the Trust and the Club to help decision making and inform the communications strategy.

The questionnaire has been designed with assistance from Trust Member David Brewis, who has experience of conducting fan surveys at other clubs and has volunteered to help York City provide a further way of engaging with the supporters.

The FA Premier League organises a similar survey of match going supporters each year and, in the past, supporters at some Football League clubs have also been surveyed.  It is understood that, below the Premier League, relatively few clubs conduct such a survey each season.

Steve Beck added The supporters are York Citys most important asset.  Going forward, its vital that we maintain that support, particularly when the on-the-pitch results this season have been below everyones expectations.  York City is run by supporters for the supporters and the Fan Survey is another way to get involvement from the wider fanbase.
