York City...owned by the supporters

York City Supporters' Trust, the body that owns and controls the Football Club, has made a brief statement following the announcement that Chris Brass has been relieved of his managerial duties.

Trust Chairman Richard Snowball commented, "So far this season, the team's results have been a disappointment to everyone involved with York City and it has been a difficult and frustrating time. The Trust would like to express its thanks to Chris Brass for his hard work and commitment during his time as Player Manager."

Snowball added, "It is also rather frustrating that the team's on-the-pitch results can overshadow the achievements to regain Bootham Crescent, financial survival and other off-the-pitch improvements. York City's supporters have endured exceptional challenges over recent years. Circumstances will continue to be difficult, but with unity, hard work and commitment, a better York City can be built."
