Club Statement re. the team manager

The following statement has been released this morning by the Club (i.e. the Trust's subsidiary company)

MONDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2004

York City Football Club has today announced the Board of Directors has relieved Chris Brass of his managerial duties.


 


Chris Brass will now revert back to his playing contract with the Club.


 


Viv Busby has subsequently been appointed caretaker Manager and will proceed with this role with immediate effect.


 


York City Managing Director, Jason McGill said, Following Saturdays home defeat to Forest Green Rovers and due to our disappointing start to the season, the Board of Directors made the unanimous decision to relieve Chris Brass of his role as first team Manager. Viv Busby will take on the position of caretaker Manager with immediate effect.


 


McGill added, On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to thank Chris Brass for all his hard work and commitment to York City Football Club during his time as Player Manager.
