Election Working Group 2004

Supporting the Trust and supporting City

From the EWG...York City Supporters' Trust is a democratic body and as such each member has a right to nominate and elect members to the Trust Board or to stand for election themselves.

The process of electing this years Trust Board positions has begun with the formation of an Election Working Group comprising of Trust members independent of the the board

This group is chaired by Trust Secretary  Stan Collins and comprises of the following Trust members:

Carol Abel

Wendy Dawson

Matthew Flint

David Hall

Laurence Kay

Ruth Laird

Chris Laird

Frank Ormston

Dave Potter

Tim Willis.

This group will plan the election, collate nominations for candidates, distribute ballot papers  to all eligible members of the Trust, and count the resulting votes for candidates.  The election is to be conducted in accordance with the Trust's Rules and the Trust Board election rules.

Much of this work will be a repeat of last year but with a significant difference. The Electoral Reform Services will not be conducting the ballot this year, the Election Working Group will take on this extra work themselves.

All Trust members will be receiving a notification of election letter containing details of how to vote or obtain nomination as a candidate.
