FANSMATCH - 9TH MAY 2004, BOOTHAM CRESCENT
FANSMATCH - 9TH MAY 2004, BOOTHAM CRESCENT

Bring friends and family to watch the game of the season!

YCST FANSMATCH

 Bootham Crescent

Sunday 9th May, Kick Off 3pm

Don't forget, this sunday at Bootham Crescent, the much awaited Fansmatch kicks off at 3pm!

Admission is 5 for Adults and free for Children.

The teams - York City Reds managed by Chris Brass and York City Blues managed by Alan Little are made up of fans who bid to play and are joined by members of the winning Wembley team - Wayne Hall, Andy MacMillan ,Steve Tutill,Ian Blackstone, Jon McCarthy and Gary Swann.

Please come along and support past heroes who once again have offered their free time to support York City, and those fans who have paid in excess of 10,000 between them to take part in what was initially billed as the last match ever at Bootham Crescent.

The players themselves will be treated as professional footballers for the day, and will then be given the chance to show off their silky footballing skills in front of what is hoped will be a big crowd.

Although the club has lost one battle, that of retaining their league status, we should consider the fact that had York City's fantastic fans not saved this Club, then this is very possibly the players that you could have been watching on a saturday instead! So for all those who are still suffering the effects of relegation, this is a chance to come and see exactly how bad it could have been!

It has come to the attention of organiser Steve Ovenden that one player (and not one of the Wembley heroes) has recently splashed out on some silver boots for the game!

The Club and Trust hope fans will come down to Bootham Crescent on sunday to witness the game and support the event. The Social Club will be open all afternoon for those who cannot cope with the spectacle on the field of play!

All those attending will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win one of two (very) limited edition prizes.

Please come along with friends, family & neighbours! Let's give the players the support they deserve after raising such a fantastic amount.

Kick off is at 3pm with the Social Club opening an hour before.

For further information regarding the day, please refer to tomorrow's Evening Press or email steveo@ycst.org.uk.
