Invites to fellow City fans continues

At the time YCST completed the Rescue Package,a scheme was launched providing the chance for City fans (drawn at random from the Trust's Membership) to watch a home match from the Directors' Box in the Main Stand at Bootham Crescent and to be a guest in the Boardroom.

The invited Trust Members & their guests join their fellow City fans (i.e. the Club's Board of Directors), other guests and representatives of the Away Team in the Boardroom before and after the Game and sit to watch the match in the area of the Main Stand commonly referred to as the Directors' Box.

The scheme continues - and will do so for many seasons to come. At the start of this season, it was announced the the 30 or so Trust members who contributed 1,000+ to the Loan Notes Scheme - referred to as 'Friends of York City' - are now also being offered this matchday package (as promised by the Trust back in March 2003).

City fans Phil Harvey and Steve Gartside (plus guests) have been invited to the last couple of matches at BC.

Writing in Arthur, Trust member Phil Harvey commented:
"I would like to say that the club could not be in better hands to see us through the current state of affairs and establish a firm footing for the future."
"The club is vastly different to the one before the supporters took control and I applaud all the efforts that re being made to integrate the club into the community and to have the players heavily involved."

Trust Member Steve Gartside (who is also a 'Friend of York City' and one of the driving forces behind the vibrant Harrogate Minstermen) was invited (with guests) to attend the Hull match in the Boardroom and 'the box'.

Writing on minstermen.net (where there's a full account of his day) Steve commented:

"Thank you York City FC for the experience, but more pointedly thank you for confirming what I guess I always knew - the club is finally in safe hands, in the hands of honourable people with noble intentions - in the reassuring hands of its magnificent and legendary supporters."

York City. The Friendly Club.
