The Prince's Trust and York City
The Prince's Trust and York City

York the heart of the community

With the support of York City, The Prince's Trust offers a free opportunity for 16-25 year olds to get new skills, improve their confidence and sometimes change their lives.

York City has provided various forms of support for the York Prince's Trust team.

Earlier this season, the team took part in a charity collection at Bootham Crescent. One team member has also enjoyed a work placement in the Grounds Maintenance department.

The Team Leader, Rob Dewhurst, said:
"The support provided by York City has been fantastic. Although i'm not a big football fan myself, i have seen how much of a positive impact being based at the Club has had on the young people in the team."

He goes on:
"The staff are really helpful and for the past seven weeks it has felt like the team and i have been part of a big family at the heart of the local community."

The next team in York will commence on 26th January 2004.

The team will be having a final presentation to celebrate their achievements in the York City Social Club on Wed 10th December.
