York City helping the community - Christmas Appeal
York City helping the community - Christmas Appeal

The Minstermen Christmas Appeal

In November, York City launched The Minstermen Christmas Appeal.

The aim of the appeal is to provide Christmas gifts for children and young people with life limiting illnesses and the elderly who are without family in our community.

The Club is asking supporters to donate Christmas presents for children, young people and the elderly to the Club Shop.

The Club will then wrap the gifts and they will be distributed by the players during the Christmas period.

The Club will be working specifically with Martin House Hospice (Yorkshire's first hospice for children and young people) and also York's Salvation Army. These organisations will help identify the individuals to receive the gifts.

Chris Brass and Lee Nogan will be visiting Martin House Hospice and will be attending the Salvation Army's Community Carol Service over Christmas.

If you are not sure what to donate, we would suggest the following items: children's toys, board games, CDs, toiletries, biscuits, chocolates, clothing, books.

The last date for donations is Saturday 13th December.

Anything you can donate to The Minstermen Christams Appeal will be gratefully received.
