Election Packs being despatched this week

Trust members to receive election packs

This week the Election Packs will be distributed by Electoral Reform Services to all Trust Members eligible to vote.

There are 1,955 members entitled to vote and it is hoped that there will be a good turnout (in June 2002 almost 900 members voted for the first Trust Board, a turnout of 65%).

The Trust's Review and story of how the fans Saved City - 'York the Heart of the Community' - will now not be distributed with the Election Packs. The booklet will soon be made available to all members (and 3 for non-members) and is being distributed by the Trust to many other people/bodies in the local community and the national football community.

Voting will be by postal ballot only and the results will be announced on the evening of Wednesday 17th December at the Trusts AGM to be held at the Grand Opera House in York. Please put this date in your diary.

As with previous Trust events (this will be the 5th public meeting within the last 2 years), it is hoped to put on a good event and that people will support it in good numbers.

The Trusts Election Working Group received seven nominations for the four Trust Board positions up for grabs. The nominations are Mike Grant, Ian Hey, Sophie McGill, Frank Ormston, Steve Ovenden, Paul Rawnsley and Peter Rookes.
