Minstermen Christmas Appeal

Building better links with the local community

Players Play Santa

Today sees the launch of the Minstermen Christmas Appeal. The aim of our appeal is to provide Christmas gifts for children and young people with life limiting illnesses and the elderly who are without family in our community.

We are asking supporters to donate Christmas presents for children, young people and the elderly to the club shop. The club will then wrap the gifts and they will be distributed by the players during the Christmas period.

We will be working specifically with Martin House Hospice, Yorkshires first hospice for children and young people and also Yorks Salvation Army. These organisations will help us to identify the individuals who are in most need of our gifts.

Chris Brass, Lee Nogan and the players will be visiting Martin House Hospice and will be attending the Salvation Armys Community Carol Service over Christmas to officially present your Christmas gifts.

If you are not sure what to donate we would suggest the following items: childrens toys, board games, CDs, toiletries, biscuits, chocolates, clothing, books. Anything you can donate to our appeal will be greatly appreciated.

The last date for gifts to be donated to the club shop is Saturday 13th December.

This is our chance to make a difference and to make someones Christmas.
