The Future of YCFC

Agreement in principle to change of ownership

Following lengthy discussions, current York City owner and Chairman John Batchelor and the York City Supporters' Trust have agreed in principle about a change to the ownership and control of the Club.

Batchelor will now work with York City Supporters' Trust to help secure the future of York City Football Club.

Next week, both parties will work towards the finalisation of a formal agreement to govern the relationship.

This announcement follows recent comments about the Club's financial situation. Last week, City's Trust announced it was in discussions with Batchelor regarding the future ownership of the Club.

Both Batchelor and the Trust appeal to the people of York and surrounds to support the Club and to get along to Bootham Crescent. The next two home games are on Tuesday 26th November against Swansea City in the FA Cup (kick off 7:45pm) and Saturday 30 November against Carlisle United.
