Trust Board Noms - close on 31 October
Trust Board Noms - close on 31 October

Members encouraged to step forward to help the Trust's work

Trust members have until 31 October to prepare and submit their nomination for the Trust Board election. There are four Trust Board positions up for grabs.

Any member considering standing for election to help progress the work and role of the Trust needs to submit their nomination to the Election Working Group by the end of October.

Not only could you become a Trust Board member, in future you could also become a Director of the Football Club itself.

Under the Trusts Rules, four existing Trust Board members Ian Hey (co-opted December 2002), Sophie McGill (elected June 2002), Paul Rawnsley (elected June 2002) and Peter Rookes (co-opted April 2003) are required to step down. They may, if they choose, be nominated for election/re-election ahead of the December AGM.

The nomination form (available via the link below) requires a candidate to be nominated by three fellow Trust Members and to submit an election statement of up to 200 words.

Any wanting further guidance is encouraged to contact the EWG (comprising volunteers independent of the candidates, including Trust Secretary Stan Collins), for instance via enquiries@ycst.org.uk

Assuming that there are more than four candidates prepared to stand for election, a postal ballot will be carried out by an independent body (Electoral Reform Services) during November/December on behalf of the Trust. The election results will be announced at the AGM on the evening of Wednesday 17th December 2003 (at the GOH, York).
